“Jasmine rice becomes lightly sweet with a little coconut. Add slivered almonds for extra crunch!”
- 1 1/2 Cups Jasmine rice
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 1/2 Cup sweetened coconut
- 1/2 Cup almonds, toasted
- To adjust rice servings, simply double the amount of water to rice. For every 1/2 cup of rice, use 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) water. Average serving size is 1/2 cup cooked rice per person.

Step 1 – Boil the Rice
Combine rice, butter, salt and 3 cups water in a medium sized saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Step 2 – Steam Rice for 18 Minutes
When rice and water come to a boil, cover pot with lid and reduce heat to a simmer.
Set your timer for 18 minutes, and let rice steam covered until the the timer goes off....no peeking!
Remove pan from heat.
While rice is steaming, toast sliced or slivered almonds in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Step 3 – Fluff & Serve
Remove lid, add coconut and toasted almonds. Fluff rice with a fork.
