“Hoisin Sauce and Toasted Sesame Seeds turn Asparagus, into a tangy treat!”
- 1 1/2 Pounds fresh asparagus
- 1/2 Cup Hoisin Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 Tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Step 1 – Marinate Asparagus in Hoisin Sauce
Rinse asparagus and pat dry.
Remove woody ends.
Apply hoisin sauce to asparagus. (Marinate in a ziplock bag if desired).
Marinate for 30-60 minutes.
Step 2 – Grill,, or Roast
Cook asparagus on the grill; in a sauté pan with a little vegetable oil; or lay spears in a single layer on a foil lined baking sheet, and roast at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
No matter how you cook it, make sure asparagus is browned, but slightly firm. Asparagus should not be cooked until limp or mushy.
Step 3 – Garnish & Serve
Remove asparagus from heat, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and salt, then serve!
