“Everyone has a unique approach to this traditional Mexican meal complement. We like to feature Tabasco, Cilantro and Chipotle Chili powder in ours! (bottled lime juice can be substituted for fresh limes – but fresh is preferred)”

Serves:

6-8

Ingredients:

  • 4 Med- large ripe avocados
  • 4-5 Tablespoons cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic powder (not garlic salt)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • Dash each of Kosher salt and ground pepper
  • 10-12 Grape or cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 Teaspoon olive oil
  • Tabasco to taste

Step 1 – Preperation

Remove avocado fruit meat from the skin and pit

In a medium mixing bowl gently mash with a fork

Add olive oil and garlic powder

Add balance of ingredients, mix and taste test

Add seasonings based on your taste (don’t be bashful with the Tabasco and Chipotle Chile powder!

Serve with your favorite tortilla chips and salsa!
